Kids Learn to Sing is Kathy Miguel’s debut book, published in 2004.
As a result of many parents pursuing her to teach their little ones to sing, and her youngest son also asking for voice lessons, Kathy decided to share her passion for singing with kids. She developed easy and fun ways to teach the otherwise difficult concepts of vocal instruction.
Kathy is well known for her beautiful voice, versatility as a performer, and wonderful rapport with children. She has many years of training in vocal performance, performing, singing and song writing, as well as experience as a private vocal instructor. She has been teaching voice for more than 20 years.
Kathy has performed for well- known Christian ministries such as Oral Roberts Television Singers, and toured with Terry Law’s Living Sound under the direction of well-known worship leader Don Moen. She sang for the studio-recorded tracks for Hosanna Music’s first original groundbreaking praise and worship recordings, as well as for local television ministries and churches in the Midwest, Arkansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has directed several choirs for the local home school association and her local church. Currently she teaches private voice lessons to all ages and conducts workshops for children and youth choirs.
About the Kids Learn to Sing Puppet Team
The Kids Learn to Sing Puppet Team work with Kathy in her Kids Learn to Sing Workshops. They are ever “helpful” in hilarious and wacky ways! The puppeteers are comprised of key players from the highly acclaimed Lift Him Up puppet team of Faith Family Church in Swansea, Illinois. With years of experience in major stage productions and improvisation, and interaction with children in a classroom setting, they are creative and wild and oh so much fun. The puppets themselves are professional quality and come with their own sense of humor and portable puppet stage.
